To prepare for success, Kwriter Academy offers the most recent, relevant Open Textbooks and new lesson modules. These are recent, free, downloadable Open Educational Resources and almost all are written by Canadian educators who have taught their content at a Canadian college or university.
We recommend you start by signing up for our free, two-week micro course on career planning. Experience the range and quality of learning we offer before committing to a paid course. Once completed, come back for one of our six week courses and we'll help you bring that career plan to life.

Learn how to write digital content for websites, blogs, social media, and email campaigns. Reach your target audiences effectively with Search Engine Optimization skills. This course will teach you conventions of digital genres. You will also learn how to develop a content strategy, master key writing skills and design strategies to fit your audiences' evolving needs.

Our courses are designed to promote cognitive engagement which involves mental effort, persistence and strategic thinking. Learners engage and grow by applying critical thinking skills, self-regulation and by connecting new information to prior knowledge. Strategies to promote a deep desire to learn include having choices, using collaborative, open-ended projects and creating tasks that require critical thinking rather than simple recall.
Your instructor is a professional educator who is also a subject expert with more than 20 years of experience providing these skills across the business and government sectors. She is also an award-winning writer and communicator recognized locally, provincially and internationally for her abilities.
To encourage cognitive engagement in these courses, masterclass level techniques include the following elements -
1. You will receive a course plan with details on how each learning module for each week changes and challenges you.
2. You will also receive a link to the Open Textbook for the course you have selected, free of charge as is the way with open learning.
3. Each course comes with a storyboard poster, a visual tool that maps out each step in a highly focused learning process.
4. Learning modules match this process so you'll always know what stage you're at within the course.
5. In addition to open learning resources, you will have access to videos, slide decks, visual and editorial samples from various sources and a weekly session with your instructor.
6. Your course plan will also indicate textbook chapters and pages to be read so you're prepared for a weekly quiz.
7. At the live meeting held each week, we will discuss key elements of each module.
8. Assignments are also discussed in detail at these sessions. You pick your own assignment subject matter.
9. A social media networking resource is set up so you can discuss your studies and learn from others.
10. An email address is provided to connect with your instructor if you have questions, get stuck or need an extension.

Our membership plan comes with several benefits. For starters, you'll pay less. A one-year membership for all six courses costs only $1000 -- $83.33 per month (+ 5% GST) for 12 months.
Our regular price for all courses is $2000. Our membership plan saves you $980 for the whole enchilada.
You'll have access to all learning resources, instructor feedback and support, with enough wiggle room to study, complete tests at the end of each course, plus time to rest before starting the next course.
